Special Powerful Heating cable for all kinds of applications
The modern technologies the last 10-15 years allow using heating cables in many areas for a wide range of applications. That's why the cables have to comply with many requirements - high working temperature, insulation resistant to outer effects and UV rays, high reliability and safety, wide working temperature diapason. The best insulation at the moment for such application is PTFE /teflon/. It complies with all the requirements and its characteristics are perfect
Here is a heating cable that obeys all the requirements - double
heating conductor, inner and outer PTFE insulation, double screening,
zero EMF, connection from one side.
Here are some applications for such cables:
1) Wide range of applications in the food industry. There are different ways for installation, here are some photos from a factory where our cables are used:
The pipes here are in
the working area of the factory and the temperature required isn't high
- 50-55C /120-130F/. Usually a thermostat that is used has a sensor
mounted on the outer wall of pipe. If a higher temperature is needed
you should use the scheme in 4)
2) For snow melting and defrosting outer areas. The main requirement here is that the cables are pretty strong to work with high temperature and to be able to defrost quickly even in a very cold weather. Here is a photo of a stairway which is defrosted with such cable: Thermostat is not needed. The system is turned on and off with a simple switch when required.

3) Defrosting streets and waterpipes - high working temperature is needed again. Also te resistance should be resistant to very wide temperature diapason and resitant to the UV rays. The UV rays have very bad influence on normal PVC or rubber insulations. The PTFE insulation though is very resistant to the UV rays and to the temperature amplitudes. Here is a photo of a waterpipe that doesn't have such cables. You don't need a thermostat - you turn it on when needed.

4) For defrosting all kinds of pipes that go in the open - water pipes, industrial pipes etc. Insulation is mandatory here. You can use a thermostat. The insulation is needed for more efficient work of the system and to reach the required temperature in severe cold.

5) For melting the snow out of satellite dishes - very common use. It is a quick and easy way to melt the snow or ice of the dish. You don't need to climb roofs anymore. There is no need for thermostat - you just turn it on and off when needed. For the installation you first fasten the cable to the dish - you can use glue as I have done on the photo or a tape. Then you cover with aluminium tape for even heat distribution and then an insulation if necessary.
